Welcome to this new article!
Today I’ll take you around the beautiful beaches of Tenerife, the biggest of the Canary Islands which is characterized by the presence of the amazing Teide volcano (12198,16ft)

– Teide Volcano from the airplane –
During two months of staying on this island, I had the chance to visit a lot of beaches, from the most famous to the less popular ones. I never would have expected that some of them remained in my mind so much that I went there even twice a week!
For this reason I decided to share with you a list of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife. I assure you that even only in photo they will leave you speechless.
Let’s start :
- PLAYA DE LAS TERESITAS
Probably the most known beach in Tenerife. On the social network its photos are everywhere. It is situated 10 minutes far from the capital Santa Cruz, and thanks to its golden sand and crystalline water you will have the opportunity to watch a breathtaking landscape.
- PLAYA DEL DUQUE
Honestly… It has been love at the first sight! Playa del Duque will take your hearth. It is situated in the touristic area of Costa Adeje and it is one of the most beloved beaches around the island. Despite the presence of medium-high waves, this beach isn’t dangerous.
In short, relax and fun merge together in one and only things.
- PLAYA DE LAS AMERICAS
A soft black sand beach surrounded by restaurants and shops. Here you could attend surf lessons and watch stunning sunsets.
- PLAYA ABAMA
Even if it is situated inside an extremely luxury resort, Playa Abama is open to everyone. To go there is not that simple; the parking is limited, the path to reach the beach is steep and the ascent when you will be back is not so nice.
Although, I assure you that visit this place will be worth.
- PLAYA DEL MEDANO
It is a pretty windy beach, suitable for who loves sports like kite-surf, surf or wind-surf. Also the centre of this little village is really cool and characteristic. You could buy souvenirs and eat street food with a fantastic sight over the ocean.
- PLAYA DE LA TEJITA
Here you would find yourselves surrounded by the deepest nature. Just as el Medano, la Tejita is a windy beach but colder respect to the average of this area. In addiction to sunbathe, you could adventure yourselves and climb to reach the top of Moñtana Roja to watch and enjoy a really beautiful sight.

- PLAYA DE LOS CRISTIANOS & PLAYA LAS VISTAS
Playa de Los Cristianos :
It is situated in the territory of Arona and it is one of the first beaches in which tourists began to arrive in the Sixties. It is characterized by quiet waves, golden sand and nice small boats. A really nice promenade stretches along the beach where you could stroll between shops and local restaurants.Playa las Vistas :
Personally, another of my favorite beaches! It is just after Playa de Los Cristianos, waves are quiet and the ocean is transparent. To go there is really simple and the beach has everything you could possibly need.
- PLAYA DE BENIJO
Magical.
I found this beach by chance during a road trip I organized time before. Its sand is black and huge waves throw themselves against the rocks in the middle of the ocean. It is situated in the north of the island. The landscape is amazing and sunsets are pure magic.
