Carezza lake, the secret of the Dolomites
Mountain lovers this article has been thought for you.
I’m going to talk to you about Carezza Lake (Karersee), a little lake situated at 1520 m altitude just 20 kilometers southeast of Bozen, South Tyrol (Italy)
Thanks to its wonderful colors every year a lot of tourists come to visit this magical place.
Carezza lake has no visible tributary because it is powered by underground springs.
All around the lake there is a perfectly viable path which offers amazing views of the surroundings.
I suggest you to go there during the sunset or in the early morning to see the splendid Latemar mountain range and the near forest reflected in the lake’s crystalline water.
Near the lake, there is a parking and a little shopping centre where you could park for just 1€ per hour, shop souvenirs and eat some local food.
Unfortunately in October 2018, an huge storm named Vaia destroyed a large part of the forest with its strong wind guts, BUT the lake is still beautiful and deserve to be visited.
I hope you like it and thanks for visiting !✦
